METALSALD grew out of welding and industrial assembly. From there it added, one at a time, the disciplines a plant contractor expects to find in the same supplier: piping, skid building, wiring, instrumentation and automation.

The model is deliberately compact: an agile organisation with in-house multidisciplinary skills and a single point of contact for building and integrating the plant. For EPC contractors, engineering firms and machine builders, that means fewer suppliers to coordinate and fewer interfaces between mechanical, electrical and control.
